Love Patterned Vase

🍓🍒🍎❤️ In this work, I explore handmade clay stamps in this lovely patterned vase. I made my own stamps of strawberries, cherries, apples, and hearts out of clay. After bisque firing them, they were used to create pattern on this slab-built vessel. The surrounding negative space was hand-carved to create a consistently intriguing texture throughout the piece. Bright underglaze colors were used to increase the vibrancy details, and a cone 10 reduction firing was used to create a contrasting background.
